Paramotor Lesson Explanation
Ground Handling
Your first lesson will begin with ground handling practice. You will inflate the glider over your head and run while learning to steer the glider left and right. After you can control the direction of the glider by moving your hands in small increments, you can take one or two short flights by being pulled into the air by our towing system.
Surface Towing
While towing, your instructor will stand nearby to keep a close eye on you during all of your take-offs. A winch designed for towing paragliders will pull you into the air. The line from the winch runs the full length of the runway, through a pulley on the opposite side of the field, and back to your harness.
Solo Flight
Solo Flight
The next step will combine all of your new skills to successfully complete your first solo flight. Your instructor will help you remember the steps necessary for a successful take-off, pattern approach, and landing. You will fly a few laps around the airport and then land exactly the same way you have already practiced.
